Has an act of kindness ever inspired you to take action?
Our founder’s mother, Maria, was a kindergarten headmistress in Katalin’s birth country, Hungary. Though Katalin was young, she never forgot watching her mother teach during the early years of her life. Her mother was more than a teacher–she treated each of her students with love and care as if they were her own. This taught Katalin the importance of acts of love and helping those in need.
This lesson stuck with her as she grew older. Katalin’s drive to help people fed into her decision to go into medicine. The lessons her mother taught her came to a head again when she realized how many orphaned and abandoned children were in Hungary each year–22,000. This filled her with the desire to make a change, and so she took it upon herself to transform her childhood home into an orphanage.
Named Maria’s House, the orphanage is a safe place for children who have nowhere to go and no parents to guide them. Part of Quantum Klinik’s proceeds goes to maintaining the orphanage and helping the children that live there.
You can help us in our mission to provide for Maria’s House when you book a treatment at Quantum Klinik.
